The Minister for Education when attending the 1st Asia-Pacific Conference on Dyslexia on 27th June in Sarawak provides a strong voice for early identification of Dyslexia and other Learning Difficulties. She spent a great deal of time talking and listening to the delegates and this of course thrilled us considerably. Dr. Angela Fawcett and myself from the UK were keynote speakers and there were other speakers from the USA and Malaysia and Singapore. The Borneo Post highlighted the event and the minister’s comments. This is indeed a commendable commitment from Malaysia.
